Smart Hospitals: Combining Patient Safety and Performance Efficiency With 4.0 Technology
The project involved numerous hospitals in defining the requirements and was selected and supported by the Ministry for Economic Development
According to the OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development), about 20% of healthcare spending makes little or no contribution to improving people's health. In such a context, the pandemic emergency has highlighted existing criticalities and, at the same time, played a role as an accelerator, forcing the system to respond immediately and as effectively as possible.

RESOURCES OPTIMIZATION TO FOCUS ON PATIENT.
It is precisely the elimination of non-value-added activities that can help the hospital system to optimize the time of medical and nursing resources to focus on the patient. With this in mind, Antares Vision Group offers an innovative solution for the automation of drug and medical device logistics, which allows to eliminate or reduce activities that do not generate value for the patient.

DO IT WITH ANTARES VISION GROUP MEDICATION MANAGEMENT PLATFORM:
The new Medication Management Platform introduces new paradigms of process efficiency for healthcare providers.
The complete traceability of the flow of medicines and medical devices is in fact combined with automation systems that can relieve operators from the most onerous and repetitive tasks such as the preparation of the therapy cart and the search for drugs to be administered, allowing them to focus their energies on the real ultimate goal: the care of patients. The combination of automation and traceability also allows to better manage the reorders and stocks, both central and peripheral, providing, among other things, waste of materials due to expiration.
“New technologies play a fundamental role in eliminating errors and improving processes, with all that this entails in terms of patient safety", says Adriano Fusco, Digital Healthcare Department Director of Antares Vision Group. “The new Medication Management platform is part of this scenario, born from Antares Vision Group's decades of experience in the traceability and serialization of drugs. The platform will enter in December in the advanced testing phase at the San Raffaele Hospital in Milan with an ambitious but not impossible goal to achieve: zero errors in the administration to patients, i.e., the right drug, to the right patient, at the right time".
